Have you noticed the Pelvic floor is a little less able to do its job than it used to? Coughing, sneezing, and not able to stop a little leakage. This can happen for any number of reasons. Multiple births, your job, an injury to the sacrum, breathing problems, age. Even back pain and posture can and probably will have an impact on pelvic floor function. Men and women are affected, and many do not seek help and do not like to talk about it? Some of you may not have to put up with this. Would you like to put some integrity and tone back into this hidden and little talked about sheath of muscles on a 1-1 basis?

This Pilates based session works by using movement, breath and pelvic floor contraction to improve the pelvic floor. The pelvic floor is a collection of muscles which, without work, can become less effective over time leading to many problems in body function. If you’re looking to maintain or improve your connection these deep muscles then this session is perfect for you.

After a 'taster' session of the exercises for the pelvic floor in Pilates I found the next day that my abs had reacted to the exercises without actually being engaged in any of the movements. Another bonus was, I'd had a bit of a niggly back pain for a few weeks, but after the session it had gone. Obviously a worthwhile addition to the range of Pilates exercises. - Pat Williams
